- Riley Jensen died giving birth to twins- Larka and Nightingale Lancaster. Her death prompted the father of the children to abandon The Regime to seek out Khan. But Khan seems suspicious of his motives...
- Khan, after 2.5 years of silence, finally confronted Cosette. As expected, it was tense, but nothing seems to be close to resolving between them.
Previously on OE:
- Penelope, one of the Spade queens, approached Albie, wishing to be made The Queen of Spades, and believing their love was true. When she was rejected, she was approached by Landon at their usual spot at the Cliffs. He convinced her to aid him in a coup, and in return she would be made his one and only Queen. So she killed Albie in his sleep with a poisoned dagger. When Landon and Penelope took over, they reorganized the Spades, and now rule with Landon as the fearmonger and director, and Penelope as the face and the seemingly gentle heart.
- Khan cheated on Cosette with Jazira.
- Jazira felt guilty and told her boyfriend Sam, who couldn't keep his mouth shut, and in turn told Cosette to get back at Khan.
- Cosette found out and slept with Devon, then tried to find validation and love with her friend and mentor, Bradley.
- He refused her sexual advances, which led to her raping him in the WR tunnels. She's now pregnant.
- Khan walked in on them and thought Bradley was taking advantage of Cosette. Enraged, he publicly tortured and blinded Bradley, then left him to die in the woods.
- Riley found Bradley trying to crawl to the safety of Bandit territory and helped him get the rest of the way.
- Zayn took Bradley in and declared that the Jensens should mount a coup to take back WR after Bradley had healed, offering to help them by loaning them the Bandit army.
- With everything settled, Zayn secured his place as king by marrying Abrial Briseno, and one of his first acts as new king will be to go to war with WR if the coup goes South.
- Bradley has healed, and is now ready to engage in the coup.
- Zayn, Zero, and Alana signed a contract and are now in a secret 3-way relationship

Old Q&A
Q: Do holidays exist in this universe?
A: Sure. I don't think everyone would celebrate all the holidays like they would have in the old world, but if you want your characters to celebrate Christmas or Valentines Day or something, you can go ahead and do that. Birthdays are sort of the same deal- you can have your character have a birthday and celebrate it if you're so inclined. Just make sure the order in which your character is celebrating stuff makes sense.
Q: How do inter-group relationships work?
A: Now that tensions are a bit more relaxed, inter-group visits are more common, but the groups are still touchy about their borders. It's best to meet friends of another group on neutral grounds. Inviting people from another group into your territory is frowned upon in WR and SE (although it's less frowned upon in SE), and it's extremely frowned upon in the Bandits. This group is particularly sensitive about borders and unless it's been run by the leader first, it's safest not to invite someone from another group into Bandit lands. The Tintuhli are also very secretive, and not many know where their mountain camp is. It is pretty much forbidden to invite strangers in. So, depending on the group, inter-group friendships are allowed but it's a safer bet to just meet up on neutral grounds.
Q: What are the Tintulhi?
A: Well, young sasquatch, they were previously called "The Spades". After Landon took over, the group became much more tribal. Superstitious Penelope Hayes rose to be High Priestess, and preaches about magic and spells. The group as a whole is very superstitious. All men are required to be warriors unless they physically can't be, and women have the choice of fighting or not. Face and body paint is a large part of Tintulhi culture, and those without face and body paint are considered lower class. To show off the face and body paint, many people wear as little clothing as possible; men often go around shirtless, and women wear bras and some sort of shirt skirt. The Spades (original name) were intended to be a band of Rogues, and were created by an RPer, Krystal, and led by her character, Albie. But she quit not long after it's creation, and so a plot was made to reconstruct the Spades and fit them into the current plot. Penelope, one of the Spade queens, approached Albie, wishing to be made The Queen of Spades, and believing their love was true.
Q: What exactly is the role of an executioner?
A: Their job is to kill prisoners when told to do so by their leaders.
Q: What is the color rule?
A: No 2 RPers can have the same exact color because we use colors to differentiate between roleplayers, and it makes the chat box more colorful. Yellow is a forbidden color. No one can use yellow. Why not? Because yellow was Mord's color and seeing it makes us old timers really upset.
Q: What's going on with Zayn, Zero, and Alana?
A: Zayn has been madly in love with Zero since they met, but never made any advances on him. Zero was happily oblivious to Zayn's feelings until Easton, Zayn's father, forced Zayn to confess how he felt to Zero. Zero realized he maybe felt something more for Zayn too, and when that was confirmed, it complicated things. They were both leaders, who needed wives and heirs. Zero broke it off with Zayn so that he could marry Alana Boyd, but soon, being parted from Zayn became too much for him. He admitted how he felt to Alana, who took it in stride. Zero, wanting to keep both his male and female lovers, suggested the three of them create and sign a contract allowing them to be in an open relationship.
Q: What's the deal with Zayn and Abrial?
A: When Abrial approached Zayn about a marriage arrangement between them, she knew he was gay. She agreed to act as a front for him and be his queen, and in return, Zayn told her that she could have affairs with other men after she bore him a legitimate child to be his heir. Abrial will bear Zayn a girl, and then have two illegitimate children after the first is born.
Q: Who is...?
A: (note: if you frequently hear a name mentioned in chat that's not on this list, try checking the Hall of Fame- they might be from an older version.)
Bradley Jensen (Tsuki): Child of Jared and Fawn Jensen, brother of Riley. When he was 16, both of his parents were killed by Caden and Blaire. He refused to accept them as his new leaders, and so was made a gladiator. Despite his speech impediment of stuttering and mild asthma, he thrived in the Ring. In love with a Bandit blacksmith Gale, he ran away to live with the Bandits for a long time before they were caught by the Regime again and he was forced to kill Gale in a gladiator fight. 15 years later, again a Regime gladiator, he befriended Khan's girlfriend, Cosette, and became her mentor. After conflict between herself and Khan, she raped Bradley, and when Khan caught them, he sought vengeance by publicly torturing and blinding him. He left Bradley in the forest to die, but Bradley sought refuge with the Bandits, recovered, and has plans to return to the Regime with Riley and the aid of Zayn's bandits to get revenge and take over the Regime.
Riley Jensen (North): The daughter of Fawn Opaque and Jared Jensen, sister to Bradley Jensen, Riley was forced to watch as her parents were murdered by Caden and Blaire. She swore fealty to them and quickly climbed the ranks to become the Second in Command, but after years of watching their tyranny, has decided it's time to take back the throne her parents held for so long.
Khan Winchester (El): The son of Caden Winchester and Blaire Taylor, heir to the Winchester Regime throne, who was overthrown before he could officially take over. He was exiled, along with his supporters. They fled to the Spades to seek Refuge. Boyfriend of Cosette Fray.
Zayn Cassel (El): The son of Easton Cassel and Piper Carther, heir to the Bandit throne. At the young age of 20, Zayn has already come to power in the Bandits, becoming the official king. His father murdered his mother, and as a result, Zayn charged him with treason and had him hanged. He is married to Abrial Briseno, and is also the lover of Zero Alvarian. During the Trail of Tears he met Bradley Jensen, and the two became confidantes as well as lovers, though both felt nothing romantic for the other, and Bradley let Zayn go when Zayn finally had Zero.
Klaus and Kaliope Avington-Montcroix (Tsuki and El): A brother and sister team who have lived their entire lives in the territory the groups now call home, they are delusional and believe they are royalty. Kaliope and Klaus have an unusually intimate relationship, and are known for kidnapping men and women and using them as personal toys or slaves for their Estate. They are also at the head of the sex trafficking ring, and anyone who wishes to purchase a prostitute or become a prostitute must go to them first.
Caden Winchester and Blaire Taylor (Ava and El): Caden and Blaire have been the co-leaders of WR for over fifteen years. Caden was the displaced son of Derek Winchester, the founder of the Regime. After living life as a rogue, Caden decided to reclaim his throne. With Blaire at his side, they made strategic allies with Blaire's childhood friend, Logan Alvarian, who was the former leader of South Edge, and they took over the Regime from Fawn Opaque and Jared Jensen.
Zero Alvarian (Val): Zero is the adopted son of Logan Alvarian, former SE leader. Zero has been in power for over ten years now. He is married to Alana Boyd, and is also the lover of Zayn Cassel.
Alana Boyd (Rain): A true warrior princess, Alana Boyd unexpectedly fell in love with Zero Alvarian at the young age of 17. She is known for her fighting skills, vivacious nature, and instantly recognizable red hair, which makes her stand out in a crowd. Wife of Zero Alvarian, and Queen of South Edge.
Cosette Fray (Val): The volatile girlfriend of Khan Winchester, who, after being cheated on by Khan, took revenge by sleeping with Devon Lancaster and by raping Bradley Jensen. The altercation with Bradley, who had previously been a close friend and mentor, resulted in an unplanned and unwanted pregnancy. Now forced to choose between two sides, Cosette's volatile nature is more precarious than ever.
Valentina Desmeraux (Tsuki): An entrepreneur of sorts, Valentina not only monopolizes all the drugs, but also has her own small harem of high-class prostitutes, runs a newspaper, and dabbles in all sorts of thises and thats. She was once a guest of Klaus Avington-Montcroix's Estate, and has a peculiar and tedious relationship with Ace Taylor, one of her dealers. She posesses an uncanny ability to pinpoint and manipulate the weakness of others, luring them into her seductive spell or winding them tightly into a web of drug abuse. Not much of her past is known, but she's a force to be reckoned with. Nathanial Stark was her child, who she raised in poor conditions until he was 6 and ran away.
Devon Lancaster (Tsuki): A spiteful young man, Devon doesn't seem to have very many redeeming qualities. He had a dark and unpleasant history that warped him into the man he is now, but he seems to feel no regret for the wrongs he has committed, and has openly admitted he has no desire to change his ways. He was originally created as a tormentor of Bradley Jensen. They were childhood friends, but homophobic Devon began to abuse him when they grew older, and outright tortured him when Bradley was a prisoner. Years later, Devon is now Riley Jensen's boyfriend, and also has an ongoing affair with Thalia Taylor. Owing Cosette a debt, he tormented and had sex with her after Khan cheated on her. He is friends with Khan, and ever since helping Khan blind Bradley, is constantly making an effort to prove his loyalty.
Wren Winchester (Mao): The youngest child of Caden and Blaire, Wren is the black sheep of the family. He is weak, shows no interest in fighting or leading, and has been generally neglected by his family. The only one to show him any kindness was his brother Khan, until Wren accidentally slept with Cosette. Of course, neither of them knew who the other was, until an unfortunate family dinner which resulted in Khan beating on Wren.
Thalia Taylor (Era): Thalia is one half of a set of fraternal twins who were separated at birth. With both of her parents dead, Thalia would have lived only a few hours before dying as well, if not for Caden and Blaire, who found her in a field and took her in. Thalia's father was Chuck Taylor, who was Blaire's brother. Blaire took in her niece and raised her as her own daughter. She taught Thalia how to be strong and successful from a very young age, which has arguably made Thalia frigid and emotionless. Growing up, she was like an older sister to Khan, never knowing her brother, Ace Taylor, who was rescued and went to live in South Edge.
Abrial Briseno (Era): The Queen of the Bandits, Abrial Briseno married Zayn Cassel for power. Knowing her husband is gay, Abrial offered to help keep his identity hidden if he married her and allowed her to lead at his side.
Nathanial Stark Taylor (Tsuki): Nathanial Stark was actually born as a girl, Valentina Desmeraux's daughter named Lucia. However, due to gender dysphoria, he proclaimed himself male, and when he was adopted by Jazira Taylor during the Trail of Tears, he was renamed Nathanial Stark. Khan nicknamed him Leech, and it kind of stuck, and is frequently used in OOC conversation. However, he will go by Stark when he gets older. Stark has Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia, a form of intersex. He was born genetically female, but his body produces too much androgen, causing virilization, which just means that during puberty he will develop masculine characteristics and be sterile, despite being genetically XX. For more information about Stark's upcoming cult, look at the FAQ "What is the cult?"
Landon Brennus (Star): Leader of the Tintuhli, mounted a coup on the former leader, Albie, and reformed the Spades, which was the original name of the Tintuhli group.
Penelope Hayes (Tsuki): The High Priestess of the Tintuhli, convinced Landon to mount a coup on Albie.
